Hello from Michael 'Buddy' Baker. I am a member of the West St. Louis County Jaycees. I joined in March of 1984. I have been Individual Development Vice President and was President in 1990-91. Personally, I own Oak Hill Cemetery and have been there since 1984. Our Motto is 'Cemetery Beautiful.' I'm currently not married, but looking for a nice girl! I play softball when I'm not doing Jaycees. I also have season tickets to the St. Louis Blues hockey team. I moved from New Jersey to Missouri this year, and once I got over the culture shock, I've grown to enjoy my new home. I joined the Jaycees shortly after moving here, and have been both a local director and Vice President of the Management Development area. I work for Northwest Airlines and have been in the Airline business for over 7 years and love the excitement it brings everyday. In my spare time, I love to travel (obvious, huh!) and scuba dive, and tinker with my computers. Beth has been a member of the West St. Louis County Jaycees since August 1997. In that time she has served as the Membership Vice President for 5 months and the President for the 20 month year of May 1998-1999 due to the year change. She currently serves as District Director for District 2 in Region 5 which includes the chapters of West St. Louis County, Crestwood/Sunset Hills, Creve Coeur, Meramec Valley and Chesterfield. In addition she currently serves as Chairman of the Board for West St. Louis County. Wendy is a Special Education teacher for Learning Disabled children at House Springs Elementary, and is a graduate of the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Wendy married Brian Cox, also a member of our chapter, in 1996. Wendy was awarded "Jaycee of the Year", as well as "Chairman of the Year" for the 1995-1996 Jaycee Year. Wendy received her Masters Degree in 1995. She is now a presenter for Northwest R-1 School District on Co-Teaching at the Elementary level. Wendy is currently serving as Membership Development VP. Wendy and Brian are expecting their first child in May of 2000. Stacey has been a member of West County since 1989. She has held the offices of Secretary, Management VP, Membership VP, Community Development VP, Individual Development VP, and State Director. Stacey is a 2nd Generation Jaycee and is enjoying it very much. She suggests "Everyone should become a Jaycee!" In her spare time, Stacey enjoys playing 'Whak-a-Mole' in her backyard. Stacey is also known as "The Meanest Woman in the State of Missouri". Stacey and her husband Doug had a baby boy, Zachary Andrew, in January 1998 and a daughter in late 1999. I have been a member for 2 years and have served as chairman for projects and Individual Development Vice President for 4 months at the end of 1999. I am a receptionist/secretary (and sitter) at CMS Consulting Group, Ince. I am very busy with work (and Jaycees) and never home. I went to Parkway West and got my bachelor's degree in 1986 from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. In my spare time (hah!) I enjoy traveling and visiting my neice and nephew in Louisiana. Hello!! My name is Matt Schaefer, and I am the excited to be the 2003 President of The West St. Louis County Jaycees! I grew up going to Jaycee events all the time as a kid, since both my parents were members of the St. Louis Junior Chamber, and my Dad is Senator #38141. I'll answer the standard St. Louis question by saying I went to Eureka High School and graduated in 1993. From there I joined Beta Sigma Psi Fraternity at University of Missouri-Rolla and got my BS in Electrical Engineering in December of 1998. As a matter of fact, UMR's where I got to know fellow West County Jaycees Dustin Conrad and Diana Alt! When I'm not doing Jaycee stuff, I work for T-Mobile in St. Louis as an RF Engineer, and my hobbies include GOLF, fitness, sports in general, music (I play bass guitar), and keeping up with my bible study group. I joined the West County Jaycees in March of 1999, became Community VP in 2000, and spent 2001 as a Local Director, and chaired the West County Beer Booth at Riverport Amphitheatre. I was President in 2002 and got to travel all over the U.S. at National and International Conventions. Little did I know when I joined that I would get the chance to do so much! Parting Words: Seize the moment! An opportunity comes once in a lifetime! Click here to email Matt. Debbie served as President of West County for the 1995-1996 Jaycee Year. Now she is serving as WebMistress for West County. Debbie has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia (Go Tigers!) and currently works for Boeing as a Sr. Specialist Programmer/Analyst. Debbie is a 2nd Generation West County Jaycee and attended her first National Convention when she was 11. In her (limited) spare time, Debbie designs jewelry, plays with her tuxedo cat Louie, reads Tarot cards, and plays on her home computer. Karin is a longtime resident of St. Louis. Karin has a B.S. in Business Administration (International) and a B.A. in French from the University of Evansville in Evansville Indiana. Karin is also known as "Head Cheerleader and Driver of the Winnebago". She was Region Director for the Region Five Jaycees in 1999. And a few "Exhausted Roosters"...

I have been in the Jaycees for almost 2 years and have enjoyed every moment. I was co-chairman of the Riverport beer booth project for the past 2 summers. I work at Southwestern Bell as a senior communication specialist. Lori Vincent joined the "Green Machine" in June, 1986. She has held almost every local office except treasurer (the chapter won't let her). She enjoyed serving as First Lady of the Missouri Jaycees in 1994-95 and visiting chapters all over the state! She has been married to Tim "Gomez" Vincent for more years than she wants to count. Lori graduated from Northeast Missouri State University with an executive secretarial certificate and currently works at DePaul Health Center in the Surgical Services Department. Her hobbies include crafts, SHOPPING, and travelling. Tim, after serving as Missouri Jaycee President in 1994-95 and Chapter President in 1989-90, has been declared the official "Old Business" at chapter meetings. If you want to know more about Tim, just ask him...he's not afraid to talk. |
