GIVE SPECIFIC AND MEASURABLE RESULTS FOR EACH GOAL ESTABLISHED. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT OF THIS PROJECT ON THE CHAPTER, INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS, AND THE COMMUNITY. Goal Results: A. To run the project at no cost to the chapter. This goal was met. B. To have 10 Jaycees participate in the project. This goal was exceeded. 12 Jaycees participated in the project. C. To have 2 prospective members participate in the project. This goal was not met. Only 1 prospective member participated in the project. Project Impact: This project involved 12 Jaycees, which is 25% of our chapter, and 1 non-Jaycee. Benefit to the Individual: The individual benefits from this project by being able to practice impromptu speaking skills. Most people are a little nervous when speaking to a group. The individual also benefits since oral communication skills are often used by employers to hire or evaluate employees. Benefit to the Chapter: The chapter benefits by having the members gain confidence in their speaking abilities. Many Jaycee projects require oral reports or some other form of oral communication. Improving the members' oral communication skills will benefit future Jaycee projects. Benefit to the Community: The community benefits by having citizens who are confident in their speaking skills. The members can practice in the informal chapter environment, then use those skills outside the chapter in their job or to benefit their community.
