IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION 8. RECORD ANY REVISION OF THE ORIGINAL PLAN. Date: 06/01/97 Revision: After making several phone calls, I was never able to confirm that the presenter would be there. This made it impossible to do a press release, since there was no guarantee that the presentation would take place. 9. LIST SOLUTIONS OR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A FUTURE CHAIRPERSON. I would recommend doing press releases, since this would bring in more prospective members. 10. GIVE SPECIFIC AND MEASURABLE RESULTS FOR EACH GOAL ESTABLISHED. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT OF THIS PROJECT ON THE CHAPTER, INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS, AND THE COMMUNITY. Goal Results: A. To run the project at no cost to the chapter. -- This goal was met. B. To have 10 Jaycees attend the project. -- This goal was exceeded. 12 Jaycees attend the project. C. To have 2 prospective members attend the project. -- This goal was not met. Only one prospective member attended the project. Project Impact: This project involved 12 Jaycees, which is 25% of our chapter, and 1 non- aycee. Benefit to the Individual: The individual benefits by learning a new skill. Anytime a person learns a new skill, it gives them more confidence to learn more. Benefit to the Chapter: The chapter benefits by having members that are confident in their ability to learn new skills. This helps the chapter, even when the skill does not directly affect the Jaycees. When a chance comes to learn a new Jaycee skill, these members will be more willing to learn. Benefit to the Community: The community benefits by having a skilled Jaycee chapter that will be better able to assist the community in any way needed. The members will have the confidence to try new things to the benefit of the community. West St. Louis County Jaycees - Chairman’s Planning Guide Page 1
