Chairman’s Planning Guide Project: Church Exchange PLANNING 1. PRIMARY PURPOSE. (WHAT IS THE ONE REASON YOU WANT TO SUCCESSFULLY RUN THIS PROJECT?) The primary purpose of this project is to learn about other religions 2. GIVE A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION. FOLLOW THIS WITH A LIST OF THE SPECIFIC AND MEASURABLE GOALS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED BY THIS PROJECT. (EXAMPLE: TO INVOLVE 25 JAYCEES.) Description: Have a group of members and prospective members attend a church service. This project will assist in attaining the goal “to conduct at least four spiritual development projects” in the Member Development Pinnacle Area, under the Individual Development Area, as outlined in the 1995-1996 Chapter Planning Guide for the West St. Louis County Jaycees (Pinnacle A, Priority 4, Goal A). This Pinnacle Area corresponds to the CPG Category of Member Development. Goals: A. To have at least 10 members participate in the project. B. To run the project at no cost to the project. C. To have at least 2 prospective members participate. 3.. WHAT ARE THE SPECIFIC MANPOWER ASSIGNMENTS? (SHOW NAMES AND DUTIES.) A. President: Name: Debbie Vonk Duties: 1. Problem: Members may be apprehensive about attending a service for a different religion Solution: Have chairman, or other member, answer questions about the religion or service. 6. This goal was/was not met, no prospective member attended. Project Impact: This project involved 4 Jaycees, which is 5% of our chapter, and 0 non-Jaycees. Benefit to the Individual: The individual gains knowledge and understanding of another religion Benefit to the Chapter: The chapter becomes more active and visible in the community.
