PLANNING:

1.	PRIMARY PURPOSE.  (WHAT IS THE ONE REASON YOU WANT TO 
	SUCCESSFULLY RUN THIS PROJECT?)   The purpose of this project is to raise money for our local chapter.



2.	GIVE A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT AND 			BACKGROUND INFORMATION.  FOLLOW THIS WITH A LIST OF THE 		SPECIFIC AND MEASURABLE GOALS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED BY THIS 		PROJECT.  (EXAMPLE: TO INVOLVE 25 JAYCEES.)
	In order to raise money for the West County Chapter, we will hold a car wash on May 22, 2004 from 9am-12pm and 12pm-3pm.  We will ask for a $5 minimum donation for each car wash.  
		Goals:
	
	A.	Involve at least 10 Jaycee's

	B.	Raise $200

	C.	Wash 40 cars.

3.	WHAT ARE THE SPECIFIC MANPOWER ASSIGNMENTS?  (SHOW NAMES 		AND DUTIES.)

	A.	President:  Mike Halloran					
								 
Duties:
		1.	Oversee the organization of the project	

	B.	Treasurer: Jeff Risley  
			    					 
		Duties:
		1.	Oversee the finances of the project.

	C.	Project Chairperson: Ruth Livingston		
				 
		Duties:
		1.           Find a location for the car wash.				.				2.	  Contact all chapter members for help and donations.
		3.	   Make signs.


4.	WHAT SPECIFIC MATERIALS, SUPPLIES, AND RESOURCES WILL BE 		REQUIRED?

	Items to be provided by the Chapter:
	
	A.	Item:  Hoses, sprayers, buckets, sponges, car wash soap, towels, rags, coolers
		Responsible Member:  Provided by Chapter.

5.	DESCRIBE THE POTENTIAL PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS TO 				SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THIS PROJECT.

	Problem: Rainy Weather
	Solution: No cancellation date planned.
	
	Problem: Not enough volunteers.
	Solution: Only schedule one shift instead of two.

	Revision:  There were not enough volunteers so we changed it to only one shift.	

9.         LIST SOLUTIONS OR RECOMMNDATIONS FOR A FUTURE CHAIRPERSON.

	1.  Start the car wash early!  We started at 10am and I believe that if we would have 
	      Started at 7am, we would have had better results.
	
	2.  Bring a radio!



10.	GIVE SPECIFIC AND MEASURABLE RESULTS FOR EACH GOAL 			ESTABLISHED.  DESCRIBE THE IMPACT OF THIS PROJECT ON THE 		CHAPTER, INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS, AND THE COMMUNITY.

	Goal Results:

	Goal A: Involve 10 Jaycee's
	Result:	We did not meet this goal. Only 8 people showed.

	Goal B: Raise $200.
	Result:	We did not meet this goal.  We made $125.

	Goal C: Wash 40 cars.
	Result:	We did not meet this goal.  We washed 25 cars.


	Benefit to the Individual:  The benefit to the individual is the opportunity to help out the community.

	
	Benefit to the Chapter:  The benefit to the Chapter is raising funds and PR.
	
	
	Benefit to the Community:  The benefit to the Community is that we wash their cars!
